Exfoliation for your smoothest skin.
Dermaplaning is a gentle, non-invasive exfoliating treatment designed to remove dead surface skin cells and fine vellus hair (“peach fuzz”), revealing smoother, brighter, and more radiant-looking skin.
Using a specialized sterile blade, your provider carefully exfoliates the outermost layer of the skin. The result is an instantly smoother complexion with little to no downtime, making dermaplaning an excellent stand-alone treatment or addition to a customized facial.
What Are the Benefits of Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning provides immediate exfoliation and can help improve the overall look and feel of your skin.
Benefits include:
Smoother, softer skin
Removal of peach fuzz
Brighter, more radiant complexion
Improved appearance of dull or uneven texture
More even makeup application
Improved absorption of professional skincare products
A refreshed, polished appearance
How Does Dermaplaning Work?
During your treatment, a sterile surgical blade is gently passed across the surface of the skin at a precise angle.
This carefully removes accumulated dead skin cells and fine facial hair without damaging healthy skin underneath.
Once exfoliated, your skin is better prepared for the application of hydrating serums, masks, and professional skincare products, making dermaplaning an ideal enhancement to many of our facial treatments.
Will My Hair Grow Back Thicker?
No. Dermaplaning does not cause facial hair to grow back thicker, darker, or faster.
Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair at the surface of the skin but does not change the structure of the hair follicle. Your facial hair will gradually grow back with the same characteristics it had before treatment.
What to Expect
Dermaplaning is comfortable and requires little to no downtime. Your skin may appear slightly pink or feel more sensitive immediately afterward, but this typically resolves quickly.
Because freshly exfoliated skin can be more sensitive to UV exposure, daily broad-spectrum sunscreen and appropriate post-treatment skincare are especially important following your appointment.
How Often Should I Get Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning can typically be performed approximately every 4–6 weeks, allowing your skin to complete its natural renewal cycle between treatments.
Your provider will recommend the appropriate treatment schedule based on your skin type, concerns, and other treatments in your skincare routine.
Dermaplaning + Customized Facial
For an elevated treatment, dermaplaning can be combined with one of our customized Circadia facials.
Removing dead surface cells and peach fuzz first creates an exceptionally smooth surface and allows the professional products used during your facial to be applied to freshly exfoliated skin.
The combination leaves your complexion feeling smooth, hydrated, refreshed, and glowing.
Instantly Smoother, Brighter Skin
Dermaplaning is an excellent option when you want noticeable improvement without significant downtime.
Whether performed alone or added to a professional facial, dermaplaning provides immediate exfoliation and an ultra-smooth finish, making it a popular treatment before special events or as part of a regular skincare routine.
